The world already knows Anakin Skywalker went from being the Chosen One to a Sith Lord in the Star Wars Universe. However, Hayden Christensen has yet to show his daughter his villainous turn as Darth Vader.

But why hasn't the Ahsoka star allowed his daughter to see his character as one of the most iconic villains of all time? Hayden Christensen explained that he is "reluctant" to let his child see him as the bad guy.

The Revenge of the Sith star was recently featured in Variety's Actors on Actors alongside Andor actor Diego Luna who asked if Christensen's daughter had seen Darth Vader. The Jumper star revealed that his eight-year-old has never seen him in the Darth Vader costume.

"Well, hasn't happened yet," Christensen said before admitting that he thinks she should see it sooner or later.

"She's eight now. I don't know if I can wait much longer," he said. "I know I've been dragging my feet a little bit."

"She knows that I'm in Star Wars and that I played this character, but she's never seen it yet," Christensen continued. "I'm getting to that. I'm trying to figure out the best sort of point of entry."

Luna agreed that it is a complicated thing to present to a child and Christensen went further to explain that he already took the first step by bringing his daughter on the set of a Star Wars show.

"There are some disturbing scenes I'm reluctant for her to see at this age. But it was really nice getting to do the Obi-Wan show and actually bring her to set," Christensen said.

"Not when I was in the Darth Vader outfit, but we did the flashback sequence and I got to play Anakin," he continued.

Christensen revealed that his daughter got to watch a lightsaber duel between himself and Ewan McGregor.

"She got to see me swing a lightsaber with Ewan. She was very concerned for my well-being," he said. "She was afraid that one of us was going to get hurt."

Luckily, things went well on the set and Christensen's daughter got to see her father in action.

Hayden Christensen reprises his role as Darth Vader in Ahsoka, which premieres on Disney+ on August 23, 2023.
