One of the most satisfying things about The Mandalorian Season 3 was the death of Moff Gideon. However, Giancarlo Esposito insists that we haven't seen the last of the villain just yet and there is a good chance he will be back in the Star Wars Universe.
Giancarlo Esposito Reveals How Moff Gideon Could Return in The Mandalorian Season 4
In The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 8, Din Djarin ultimately faced off against Moff Gideon who had built himself a beskar suit and is intent on completing the Purge of Mandalore. However, the villain is killed in the explosion when the Mandalorian ship crashes into the Great Forge.
It was clear that Gideon bit the dust but some people are not convinced. Even Giancarlo Esposito himself believes that Gideon could return in the future.
In an interview with The Wrap, Giancarlo Esposito was asked about his possible return to the Star Wars series. Although the Breaking Bad star played coy about coming back to the show, he did share his ideas on how Gideon could still play a role in the future.
"I know nothing about Season 4," Esposito said. "[Creator Jon Favreau] hasn’t tipped his hat to me."
"So many fans are like, 'You were a clone, right?'" he continued. "It could be."
Esposito then continued by pointing out that Gideon's fate depends on Favreau.
"I trust Jon knows what he’s doing," he said before admitting he wants to continue playing Gideon.
"I would love to keep dying and coming back," Esposito said. "That’d be my favorite thing of all. There are a lot of ways to go and I’m open to whatever they have in play."
The Mandalorian Season 4 is currently in development but has not yet been given an official production start date. In addition to that, the show's return has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
