Star Wars Fans Unhappy Over Ashley Eckstein Being Replaced by Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano

In case you missed it, there has been major casting news for The Mandalorian Season 2. A new report revealed that Rosario Dawson has been cast as the live-action Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian Season 2. And although the news has been met with mostly positive reactions, others were unhappy about the casting. Some Star Wars fans have pointed out that Ahsoka should be played by Ashley Eckstein, who provides the voice of the character in the final season of The Clone Wars.

It was previously reported that Dawson will be joining the second season of The Mandalorian where she will portray the adult version of the former Jedi padawan. It's a role that the Daredevil star has been campaigning for quite some time so it's not really a huge surprise that Disney and Lucasfilm finally paid attention. On the other hand, some fans are pointing out that there's already someone in the Star Wars Universe who could easily play Ahsoka.

It's no secret that Eckstein has helped develop the character for several years. After all, she has been the voice of Ahsoka right from the start and has even cosplayed as the former Jedi in several events. Needless to say, fans are supporting Eckstein and are hoping that the casting will be changed.

For now, the casting of Ahsoka in The Mandalorian Season 2 has not yet been confirmed by Dawson, Disney or Lucasfilm just yet. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
