Star Wars: Ewan McGregor Shows off Workout Preparation for Obi-Wan Kenobi Series

Everyone is hyped up about the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series but nobody is more excited than Ewan McGregor. The Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith actor has shared a glimpse at his workout preparations for the highly anticipated Disney+ show.

Bespin Bulletin has found a recent photo of McGregor flexing his muscles at the gym. The image, which has been shared on Instagram, seems to confirm that the Doctor Sleep star is going through some intense training to prepare for Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Obi-Wan might not be the type to show off his muscles but playing a Jedi is definitely a physical role. McGregor could be getting into strength training so he can properly wield a lightsaber once again and easily perform the stunts in the fight scenes.

We're loving this idea since it could confirm that Obi-Wan was more than just a peaceful hermit on Tatooine where he spent his time after the events in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. After all, he needed to make sure he could properly defend the young Luke Skywalker and we're pretty sure the Empire was trying to hunt him down.

While it's easy to assume that Obi-Wan will be going up against bounty hunters and maybe a certain Clone Trooper in the Star Wars series, there is one particular showdown fans are already looking forward to. We already know that Hayden Christensen is returning as Darth Vader and McGregor even teased on the two of them facing off yet again.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series is expected to begin production in Los Angeles in late Spring. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
