Who is Commander Cody?
Cody, whose designation number was CC-2224, was a Clone Marshal Commander in the Grand Army of the Republic. During the Clone Wars, he commanded the 7th Sky Corps as well as the renowned 212th Attack Battalion. Cody served under the command of Obi-Wan until Palpatine gave the instruction to execute Order 66 in Revenge of the Sith where he tried to kill Obi-Wan.
Is Commander Cody still alive?
Although Cody failed to kill Obi-Wan, the Clone Marshal Commander continued to serve the Galactic Empire, playing a role in the final enslavement of Kashyyyk. However, there are speculations that Cody was sent on a mission that would lead to a reunion to his Jedi friend.
Is Commander Cody in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series?
It was previously reported that Temuera Morrison might join the cast of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi where he could play an older version of Cody, who has been sent by the Empire to track down the Jedi Master. This would mean that the new Disney+ series will reunite McGregor, Christensen, and Morrison, who all appeared in Revenge of the Sith together.
Although this is an exciting idea, it is important to point out that Disney and Lucasfilm have not yet made an official announcement about Morrison's involvement in the Deborah Chow series. However, it could only be a matter of time before the casting is confirmed.
