There is little doubt that fans have high expectations of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. After all, it has been confirmed that Ewan McGregor will be reunited with Star Wars prequel trilogy series co-star Hayden Christensen. In addition to that, McGregor can't stop hyping up the epic lightsaber fight between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader in the Disney+ show.
It's no secret that fans love the lightsaber duels in the Star Wars films. So it's no surprise that it's the one thing that McGregor can't get enough of when working on the movies. Now that he's set to return as the Jedi in the new show, the Halston actor is once again preparing for the fight scenes. However, the training had to be put on hold after McGregor had his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
"For months, we've been doing these monster, two-and-a-half-hour sessions of sword fights and hand-to-hand stuff," McGregor told The Hollywood Reporter. Unfortunately, getting the vaccine also gave him a serious 100.7 fever that kept him out of the gym for 48 hours.
Luckily, that's all over and McGregor has been back in action. For now, he isn't sharing too much about what will happen in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. On the other hand, people are already looking forward to the epic rematch between Kenobi and Vader.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series is currently preparing for production as it adds more cast members like Maya Erskine, who will appear in up to three episodes of the show. For now, the series has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
