Star Wars: Episode VIII Characters Will Be "Tested Intensely," According to Oscar Isaac

Virtually each character in the Star Wars universe face different kinds of difficulties. This is among the many reasons why the saga is so interesting and colorful. Well, it looks like the forthcoming sequel to The Force Awakens will be more stimulating than usual as all characters will be tested extremely.

Poe Dameron actor Oscar Isaac made the revelation while being interviewed by Entertainment Tonight about his upcoming film, X-Men: Apocalypse.

The 37-year-old Guatemalan American said:

Well, I'm around, first of all, which is nice.

The actor said this in reference to the fact that he was supposed to die in The Force Awakens, but he convinced director J.J. Abrams and co-writer Lawrence Kasdan to keep his character around later on.

He added:

Poe, he gets to be more a part of the story, and all of the characters in the film, they get tested, intensely. It's a lot of conflict in it, which is great.

And we expect nothing less of Star Wars: Episode VIII. There's no word as of yet how Poe will "be more a part of the story" in the upcoming Star Wars episode, but there have been rumors that he could replace Leia Organa and that he could have a romance with John Boyega's Finn. In any case, Episode VIII will no doubt be exciting than The Force Awakens.

We will see Oscar Isaac on the big screen in X-Men: Apocalypse, slated for release on May 27. He will also appear in Star Wars: Episode VIII, to hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
