Star Wars: Diego Luna Confirms Andor Season 2 Will Lead Up to Rogue One

We're still waiting for the Andor Season 1 finale but it looks like Diego Luna is already excited about the second season. The Cassian Andor actor has just confirmed that Andor Season 2 will lead up to the events in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Diego Luna recently spoke to The Playlist where he spoke about Andor Season 2 and how it is finally going to lead up to Rogue One.

“Well, we are walking [into Rogue One,] yes,” he said. “One thing that we’ve said and everyone knows is that the next season ends just before Rogue One, we’re going to get all the way there, and many things are going to happen that I think some people are expecting. But definitely, there’s no way to avoid it.”

It's an awesome confirmation considering that it means we'll get to see how Cassian ended up being an intelligence officer for the Rebel Alliance. In addition to that, it might finally be time to see how K-2SO was reprogrammed by the Rebels to become Cassian's most trusted friend.

It has already been teased that Alan Tudyk will appear in Andor Season 2 to reprise his role as K-2SO. Now that we know that the second season will be directly connected to Rogue One, we're looking forward to Tudyk's reunion with Diego Luna.

There is still one more episode to go before the first season of Andor concludes and at this point, anything could happen. The penultimate episode ended with Cassian learning about Maarva's death and parting ways with Melshi to publicly expose the Empire's unjust prison system.

The 12th and final episode of Andor Season 1 has not yet been given an official title but is already scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on November 23, 2022.
