Fans have had a love and hate relationship with Disney since its acquisition of the Star Wars universe several years back and for the longest time, the franchise has struggled to click with its diehard supporters. However, all of that changed when Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau assumed control of The Mandalorian which a lot of people credit for reinvigorating Star Wars after the sequel trilogy failed to meet expectations.

The hit Disney+ series starring Pedro Pascal has already produced two successful seasons with Season 3 expected to begin production this year. Not only that but The Mandalorian's triumph pretty made opened the door for Disney to expand the Star Wars franchise through its popular streaming service fans dub as the "MandoVerse".

Speaking of the MandoVerse, most fans are aware that the Star WarsRebels creator has appeared twice in The Mandalorian as Rebel pilot Trapper Wolfe. While Filoni didn't exactly play a significant role in the series, many people were delighted by his cameos, so much so that they wouldn't mind seeing Trapper again in the future.

Now, a special crew merch for the upcoming The Book of Boba Fett may have just revealed Filoni's "physical" involvement in the series. A crew gift pin from the production of the Temuera Morrison-led show has officially surfaced on the Production Treasures website (via The Direct) and it sees the Lucasfilm producer wearing his Rebel pilot gear but instead of his helmet, Filoni sports his iconic cowboy hat. Does this mean that Filoni will once again make a cameo in the series?

Filoni has continuously proven through the years that he's in touch with the Star Wars fandom and as long as guys like him and Favreau are in charge, the franchise will continue to deliver. As for The Book of Boba Fett, it'll be interesting to see how different (or similar) it will be to The Mandalorian but it's worth mentioning that several reports have suggested that the show will serve as Season 2.5 of Din Djarin and Grogu's show so I'm guessing the changes aren't gonna be that drastic.

The Book of Boba Fett is scheduled for release this December.
