Star Wars Casts Sung Kang in Obi-Wan Kenobi Series and Fast and Furious Fans are Loving It


It's official: The Obi-Wan Kenobi series is set for production and Star Wars has just announced some new cast members that happen to include Sung Kang. Not surprisingly, fans of the Fast and Furious are loving the return of Han Lue.

Star Wars confirmed that Obi-Wan Kenobi is ready to begin production along with a reveal of the new cast members. This includes Kang, Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. The tweet also confirms that former Game of Thrones actress Indira Varma will appear in the series.

The announcement certainly has Star Wars fans excited about the series. However, Fast and Furious fans were also delighted that Kang is joining a new major franchise and could play an important role in the Disney+ show.

Kang is best known for playing Han in the Fast and Furious franchise. He has played the character in five of the franchise's films. Han is expected to return in F9, which is scheduled for release on June 25.

For now, the identity of Kang's Star Wars character has not yet been revealed. However, it makes sense for fans considering that his character is also known as Han Seoul-Oh. Nevertheless, we're looking forward to getting new updates about the Obi-Wan Kenobi series soon.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi show will also bring back Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen as the titular Jedi and Darth Vader. They will be joined by fellow Star Wars prequel series cast members Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse who will reprise their roles as Owen and Beru Lars.
