Varma is best known for her role as Ellaria Sand in Game of Thrones. However, she has appeared in several acclaimed shows like Rome, Luther, and Carnival Row.

In addition to film and TV show roles, she had lent her voice to video games like Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. Needless to say, Varma is a welcome addition to the Star Wars series.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series is one of many Star Wars shows that will air on Disney+ after the success of The Mandalorian. The new series takes place ten years after the events in Revenge of the Sith and will follow the former Jedi in his new life on Tatooine.

Fans are undoubtedly hyped up about McGregor's return as Obi-Wan but it's even more exciting now that Christensen will be joining the series. After all, this could mean that there will be another epic showdown between Kenobi and Darth Vader, and it's one that takes place before their final fight in A New Hope.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series is set to begin production in April. However, it has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
