Star Wars Battlefront II: Capital Ship Interiors Coming Next Year

One of the biggest complaints that fans had about Star Wars Battlefront II was that there was no game mode where you could fly a smaller ship into a capital ship and wreak havoc inside on foot—something you could do in the original Battlefront II game. Good news is, it's actually coming, and it could be released sometime in February.

This was confirmed in the road map from EA where they say that February will being a new game mode which include capital ship takedowns and capture points. We don't really have any specifics on how the mode goes, but we do know that it will be taking place during the time of the Republic with the droids vs the clones again.

Personally, I've been hoping for a game mode that will actually have more starships involved, because as it stands, you can play galactic assault fine without really using any of the ships. You're also welcome to try out the starship assault game mode, but when are those lobbies full of players?

I'm actually excited to see more variation with Galactic Assault moving forward. Geonosis did something interesting with the AT-TE walkers, and I can't wait to see what's in store for the future. After the fixed progression system and the latest expansion being a success, a lot of people are hoping that Star Wars Battlefront II will lead a long and interesting lifespan with the gaming community.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
