Star Wars: Andor Officially Gets Season 2


Diego Luna's return as Cassian in Star Wars: Andor gets more exciting as just as the franchise dropped the trailer for the first run of the show, Season 2 is already confirmed and its exact window in the timeline of the galaxy far, far away has been revealed.

Star Wars: Andor unveils its first trailer and the fans takw a trip down memory lane from the time that Cassian Andor has been introduced in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. While the fate of Andor has been conclusive after completing the mission with Jyn Erso, the series lets him live on as a legend.

In a report from ComicBook.com, during the Star Wars Celebration, Star: Wars: Andor has been revealed to have two seasons which will have 24 episodes split in half -- 12 episodes for Season 1 which will feature one year in the timeline, and the other half for Season 2 which covers four years leading into Rogue One.

This is huge because the trailer for the first season just dropped and now everyone gets to learn that there is already a Season 2 waiting behind the series.

Star Wars: Andor is created by Tony Gilroy to form part of the franchise's slate on Disney Plus. The series acts as a prequel to Rogue One which will explore the five years that passed before the events of the movie and the formative years of the Rebellion.

Diego Luna will be back as Andor and he would be joined by Stallan Skarsgard, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Genevieve O'Reilly, Anton Lesser, David Hayman, and Robert Emms. Forest Whitaker will also reprise his role. Stephen Schiff is the showrunner of Andor.

Star Wars: Andor will be premiering on August 31, 2022, exclusively on Disney Plus where all the shows of the franchise's slate would be appearing on.
