One of the upcoming Star Wars series that is currently on the slate is Andor, the prequel to Rogue One which focuses on Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion. While the series has already finished filming its first season several months ago, Lucasfilm still hasn't shown any footage. Now, it looks like we may have the date now on when we will finally get to see the first trailer for the highly-anticipated series.

According to Bespin Bulletin, a trailer or teaser trailer for Andor is currently in the works and it is planned to be released during the Star Wars Celebration event which is set to be held from May 26 to 29. Adria Arjona, who is one of the stars of the series, has previously revealed that she will be in attendance at the event which hints that there might be an Andor panel.

While the information has not been confirmed by Lucasfilm, there is a possibility that it is true since the event would be the perfect place to show the trailer plus there's the fact that the series is scheduled to premiere later this year. If it does end up being presented during the panel, it is unknown however if the trailer will also be released online or if it will only be exclusive for the people who are in attendance.

There's been a lot of instances in the past where several Star Wars projects released their first trailer during the Star Wars Celebration so there is really no question whether it would be the ideal venue to premiere the trailer for Andor. There's also the fact that there have been rumors that the series will premiere in late summer so it would also be the perfect time for them to finally show the first trailer to hype up the anticipation.

The series stars Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgard, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Genevieve O'Reilly, Forest Whitaker, and Robert Emms. Toby Haynes directed the pilot. Tony Gilroy serves as the showrunner. It has been reported that it was already renewed for a second season and is set to begin production later this year.
