Star Wars Adventures Will Feature Original Storylines

The Star Wars universe will be extending yet again. This time, it will be through the comic book platform.

Star Wars Adventures has been announced as an all-ages offering that will narrate more Star Wars stories. These stories are confirmed to be canon and accessible, and according to CBR, the stories will all be original.

In an exclusive confirmation, IDW Publishing President and Chief Operating Officer Greg Goldstein, Star Wars Adventures will tackle different stories from the different timelines of the entire universe:

"They will be original stories, primarily. They will be set in the entire Star Wars combined universe. They can be the trilogy, the prequel trilogy, the modern films, some of the offshoots that are still considered part of the canon."

The first two issues have already been given released dates, with Star Wars Adventures #1 arriving on Sept. 6, while issue #2 will come out on Sept. 20. The two issues will follow Rey and her adventures on Jakku pre-Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The covers have also been revealed, with a few familiar faces popping out in some versions, including the big trio, Yoda, Chewie, and even the bounty hunter.

The timing couldn't be better for Star Wars: Adventures, especially now that fans have been looking forward to more ways that the Star Wars lore can be told. The two issues would certainly be a nice read to prepare us for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, since it will give fans a sneak peek of Rey's life before everything began.
