Star Wars Battlefront 2 Details How Perks System Works

Narrative will be a major driving force for Star Wars Battlefront 2, if only for the new side that the players will be gunning for.

However, from the new game is not only bent on changing the kind of dynamics that old Star Wars games have enjoyed, but improving on the kind of customization that it offers players.

Executive producer Matt Webster told Polygon, modification ca be done by rolling out different perks and abilities, far beyond just cosmetics. All four soldier classes will have three basic abilities, but these can be added to with Star Cards.

"Players can customize all the troopers. All the heroes and all the starfighters are customizable in the same way. They have three base abilities and they can have additional abilities. They can even customize what the ability is, and also what the extent of that ability is, based on Star Cards. Your Darth Maul might be running at different load-out to my Darth Maul."

All these are made possible by Star Cards, which can be obtained with loot boxes. The developer has previously announced that it will bring loot boxes into the equation, allowing for customization perks to be unlocked via in-game play or purchase of supply crates.

For those who want to get more access to heroes and other vehicles moving forward with the game, EA has also confirmed that they are no longer unlocked via game tokens but are rather unlocked using points earned for every round when completing gameplay objectives.

There are certainly quite the changes made to Star Wars Battlefront as a title, and it looks like EA's goal is to really make sure and deliver the best title to fans so far.
