The Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard has finally released its new trailer, giving us the first look at Whoopi Goldberg’s return as Guinan from the series Star Trek: The Next Generation. Star Trek: Picard Season 2 is set to be released on March 3rd on Paramount+, with new episodes coming weekly on Thursdays on the streaming platform. The series Star Trek: Picard is currently filming its third season. The series stars Patrick Stewart who is playing Jean-Luc Picard, whom he also played in seven seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation. In Star Trek: Picard, Stewart will be playing Picard as he goes through the next chapter of his life. Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard also involves time travel and also the return of Picard’s old nemesis, Q, who is played by John de Lancie.
"I haven't seen [Star Trek: Discovery] – but I did watch the first season of Picard, which was great," Goldberg said in an interview back in January 2021 of returning as Guinan in Picard. "From time to time, I talk to Patrick [Stewart] about Star Trek. Hopefully, I will be joining their cast for a little while next year. I'm very excited about that."
In addition to Goldberg, Stewart, and de Lancie coming back to their respective roles from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Picard’s cast also includes Isa Briones, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Evan Evagora, Santiago Cabrera, Orla Brady, Jeri Ryan, and Brent Spiner. In this new season, Runaways star Annie Wersching will be playing a classic Star Trek villain, known as the Borg Queen.
Star Trek: Picard will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and is distributed by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group on Amazon Prime Video in at least 200 countries and territories. It also airs on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and it also streams on Crave in Canada.
Star Trek: Picard Season 2 will be premiering o March 3, 2022 and new episodes will come out every week on Thursdays.
