Star Trek: John de Lancie Teases The Next Generation Actors Returning in Picard Season 2

We already know that Q will be back in Star Trek: Picard Season 2. However, it looks like John de Lancie has confirmed that there are more Star Trek: The Next Generation actors who will be back in the upcoming season.

One of the best things about Picard is how it has brought back several The Next Generation characters. There is little doubt that this will continue in the second season, as it had been confirmed that de Lancie is joining the cast. Interestingly, the Star Trek: Lower Decks actor may have also confirmed that his other co-stars will be back as well.

De Lancie recently posted another Cameo video and this time, he sounded very excited about working with his previous co-stars Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes.

"I am back into the Star Trek Universe. I am doing Picard right now with – of all people – Mr. Picard. So, that's been great fun. It's been great fun to see Patrick, to see Brent, and to see Jonathan. I am going to be working with Jonathan coming up here in a couple of weeks. So, it's great fun," de Lancie said.

This is great news for Trekkies but it's also best to remember that Frakes might be directing an episode or two instead of returning as Will Riker. In addition to that, there are speculations that Spiner's appearance will only be a cameo. Nevertheless, it would be awesome to see these actors working together again.

The second season of Star Trek: Picard has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
