Star Trek Actor Wants to Join Star Wars: The Mandalorian Cast as Dengar

From the theme, its likeness with the Star Wars original trilogy, and the introduction of surprise character Baby Yoda, there's no doubt that The Mandalorian became a massive success. The show's second season is already set to arrive this October, with a few familiar faces to reportedly appear, like Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, and even Bo-Katan. However, is there room for Dengar to appear as well?

In a recent interview with Collider, actor Simon Pegg, known for his works in the recent Star Trek film series as well as the Mission Impossible series, expressed his interest in playing a character he voiced from the galaxy far, far way in The Mandalorian. "If Taika and Favreau decide to bring Dengar into The Mandalorian, then I have some form [of experience] in the past."

As the actor mentioned in the clip, Pegg has previously voiced Dengar in Battlefront as well as in several episodes of The Clone Wars. He also pointed out that there are reports of Katee Sackhoff playing the live-action version of Bo-Katan, which she voiced in the series too. Given that there is a possibility for a few more existing characters to appear in The Mandalorian, it's not that far off for Dengar to be added onto the list as well.

Pegg certainly has the acting chops for it, given his work on some big franchises. Add the fact that his character is a bounty hunter as well, sure enough, there are some fans out there who would like to see him on the show.
