Han Solo and Indiana Jones Meet in Heartbreaking Crossover

Indiana Jones might not be in the same universe as Star Wars, but it looks like everyone's favorite whip-cracking archaeologist-adventurer got a chance to meet the galaxy far, far away's legendary smuggler in an epic crossover.

In Star Wars Tales #19 by W.Haden Blackman, Steve Dutrol, Sean Murphy, and Dan Jackson, Star Wars fans get to see a wild crossover with Indiana Jones (via Comic Book Resources). The comic book features "Into the Great Unknown," a bittersweet story where Doctor Jones gets to meet Han Solo on Earth.

In "Into the Great Unknown," Han and Chewie fly the Millennium Falcon and pilot the shape into hyperspace. The trip goes south when the Falcon ends up crashing into Earth in the past. The ship ends up in bad shape and Solo gets killed by Native Americans.

A hundred twenty-six years later, Indiana Jones discovers the Falcon by accident when he goes on an adventure searching for the Sasquatch. In the Falcon, Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones finds the remains of Han Solo, an arrow plunged straight into his chest while seated in the captain's chair of the Falcon.

Indy also discovers the Sasquatch – the beast is none other than Chewbacca who had gone mad with grief over the death of his closest friend.

Finding everything so strangely familiar, Indiana and his partner Shortround decide to leave the "Sasquatch" alone.

While "Into the Great Unknown" is without a doubt a heartbreaking story, it does manage to scratch that itch to have Harrison Ford's most iconic characters meet up together.
