Katee Sackhoff to Play Live-Action Bo-Katan in The Mandalorian Season 2

The Mandalorian is going to be bringing a lot of big faces for the next season including Ahsoka Tano and Boba Fett, but now we have news on another EU hero coming to the show—Clone Wars' Bo-Katan Kryze.

According to /Film, Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff, who also voices Bo-Katan on the show, is going to play the live-action version of the Mandalorian warrior. In the series, Bo-Katan was a member of Death Watch and was the sister of Mandalorian ruler Duchess Satine. Bo-Katan had recently returned for the Clone Wars for the Siege of Mandalore, and she also makes an appearance in Star Wars Rebels. With Ahsoka and Sabine said to be appearing in The Mandalorian, it would make sense for Bo-Katan to make an appearance.

It's worth noting that Sackhoff will be the first voice actress from the series to play the role in live-action. Rosario Dawson is said to be taking over for the live-action role of Ahsoka, much to the dismay of some fans who wanted VA Ashley Eckstein for the part. I guess it doesn't hurt that Sackhoff is also recognizable in live-action, seeing that she played the part of Starbuck in Battlestar.

Of course, it's probably best to take this news with a grain of salt, but it's said that multiple sources have confirmed Sackhoff's involvement. It was even said that she had shot her scenes in February, way before lockdown had started.

Season 2 of The Mandalorian is set to come out on Disney+ this coming October.
