Spy x Family’s second season ended a few weeks ago, but the hype for the series continues with the new movie. To celebrate the film’s ongoing screenings in Japan, Spy x Family Code: White viewers will be able to receive a special AR illustration card of Anya Forger by Tatsuya Endo.
This special freebie will be given away to cinema viewers starting this weekend. With this, fans who have already seen the film may want to give it a rewatch.
The new AR illustration isn’t the only way that Spy x Family is hyping up the film, as Code: White also took over Shibuya in Tokyo recently as part of the movie’s promotion.
Spy x Family Takes Over Shibuya to Hype Up Code: White
Spy x Family Code: White is a film that, unlike the TV anime, is not based on the manga. Instead, it features a brand-new story by Tatsuya Endo that follows the Forger family on a new adventure.
To celebrate the film’s release, the anime was promoted via a special Shibuya takeover in late December, which saw ads for the film pop up on LED billboards all over the area.

Anime fans are likely familiar with Shibuya as this is one of Tokyo’s premier downtown districts. In particular, the Shibuya Scramble Crossing is an iconic Tokyo sight that was the center of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
Thus, it’s no surprise that the new Spy x Family film was promoted in Shibuya. From the looks of it, the promotion seems to have helped, as the movie has become a big box-office hit in Japan.

Spy x Family Code: White AR Illustrations to Be Given Away at Screenings
The film continues to dominate Japan’s box office chart, and it seems that this won’t change anytime soon. After all, fans will soon have a reason to rewatch the film as AR illustration cards will be given away to viewers.
Fans who watch the film in Japanese cinemas beginning January 13 will get a special illustration card, featuring Anya Forger. At the back of it is a QR code that, when read, will feature an AR Anya pop-up.
Take note that this AR illustration card will be free, but it will be produced in limited numbers. Still, with 500,000 copies to be given away, there’s a good chance that series fans in Japan can get one.
As a bonus, the film will also be released with English subtitles in Japan in select cinemas for non-Japanese speakers to enjoy.
For those who won’t be able to visit Japan anytime soon, Code: White is confirmed to be released in North American cinemas soon.
