Spy x Family Code: White Reveals New Villains

With the movie’s release coming in just a few months, Spy x Family Code: White revealed new villains that will play big roles in the upcoming movie.

Along with the new characters, their voice actors have also been revealed. Two of these VAs are well-known among anime fans.

Meanwhile, the other two aren’t anime VAs. Instead, they are notable actors who have appeared in live-action anime adaptations.

Spy x Family Movie Will Feature an Original Story With New Characters

Spy x Family was easily one of the most popular shows of 2022 as it dominated the TV and streaming charts in Japan and in many other countries.

Its universal appeal helped it become a hit even among non-anime watchers.

Thanks to its success, the show got new anime project announcements shortly after its first season ended in December 2022. The first is a movie titled Spy x Family Code: White.

Unlike the anime, which follows the manga’s events (albeit with some original scenes), the upcoming movie will feature a wholly original story.

Fans won’t need to worry though, as series creator Tatsuya Endo is writing the story. So, even if it turns out to be a non-canon series entry, it should still be up to par with the main Spy x Family narrative.

Along with the film, fans can also look forward to Spy x Family Season 2 as it will finally air as part of the Fall 23 anime season.

Spy x Family Code: White Reveals New Villains and Voice Cast

As Code: White will feature an original story, it will introduce new villains that Loid and (possibly) Yor will have to contend with.

The first is Snijder, a colonel who’s part of an intelligence agency. Not a lot is known about him, but it is said that he aims to disrupt the peace between East and West. Voicing Snijder is Banjou Ginga (Isaac Netero in Hunter x Hunter).

Next is Type F, a masked commander who remains a mystery, though his appearance is definitely one of a villain. He is voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi (Einar in Vinland Saga).

Type F commands Dmitri and Luka, characters who are voiced by Tomoya Nakamura and Kento Kaku, respectively. These two actors aren’t regular anime VAs as they’re more known for live-action roles.

Spy x Family Code: White will be released in Japanese cinemas later this year. For now, there’s no word yet on international release plans.
