Yup, you read that right. Although Benedict Cumberbatch wasn’t physically in Spider-Verse 2, Miguel O’Hara mentioned at one point in the film, “And don’t even get me started on Doctor Strange and that little nerd on Earth-199999.”

Still, this is a pretty good nod to an MCU Easter Egg of possibly pointing out the connection of the Spider-Verse to Marvel.

While The Spot was trying to test the limits as to how far he could reach in traveling across dimensions, he found himself in one universe with a familiar-looking convenience store.

There, we see Mrs. Chen in Earth-688, Chinatown, where The Spot was even confused as to why she wasn’t surprised that an interdimensional being appeared out of nowhere in her store.

This is a bit of a stretch, but when Miles was trying to keep Gwen’s identity a secret from his parents, they came up with the alibi, ‘Wanda’, possibly relating to the MCU’s Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch.

In case you didn’t know, the MCU actually had its very own the Prowler and that was played by Donald Glover as he appeared in one of the Spider-Verse’s laser chambers.

Glover did mention having a nephew in Brooklyn once in Spider-Man: Homecoming, however, we didn’t get to see him in action while sporting the suit.

He was actually the early inspiration for Miles Morales, but he ended up growing too old for the role.

But he did get to voice Miles Morales in the 2014 series Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors.

Though quite briefly, while Spider-Man 2099 was explaining to Miles of the ‘canon event’ in which all Spider-people always end up losing their ‘Uncle Bens’, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man appears with the scene where he lost his Uncle Ben.

Andrew Garfield

The Amazing Spider-Man's Andrew Garfield was in the presentation, as well, where the death scene of Captain Stacy was involved, with a much more obvious cameo of Garfield’s face playing Peter Parker.

LEGO Peter Parker / Spider-Man

In one of the traveled dimensions The Spot ended up in, he managed to open a portal right in front of the LEGO’s Daily Bugle, where Parker immediately notified Spider-Man 2099 about The Spot being on the lose.

Mysterio and ‘Miss’sterio

They were also briefly shown being together in one of the laser chambers as Miles was toured within the Spider Society headquarters in Nueva York.

Meanwhile, other cameos involved in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse are Peter B. Parker with his baby, Mayday Parker, along with his wife, Mary Jane ‘MJ’ Parker.

And of course, who could forget the gang from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse?

See, at the end of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Gwen had to gather alliances to help Miles defeat The Spot, and apart from getting Peter B. Parker, they also brought back Peni Parker, Spider-Man Noir, and Peter Porker (Spider-Ham).

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now premiering in theaters worldwide!
