Starring the original Spider-Man we grew up watching, Tobey Maguire is the first Peter Parker we see come to life as he starts off his story being the typical high school nerd before he eventually gets bitten by a radioactive spider that helped him gain extraordinary superpowers.

We follow Parker as he ventures off from using his Spider-Man abilities for money to help his family and eventually learn the weight of his destiny, as his Uncle Ben said, “With great power comes great responsibility.”

This Spider-Man is what started it all as we see Maguire’s Peter Parker fight against the Green Goblin, Doc Ock, the Sandman, and even their own version of Venom.

This Spider-Man version is depicted by Andrew Garfield, whose story is no different from Tobey Maguire’s except from a few modern altercations such as Peter Parker using his phone when he would wait for the villains to fight him and an even more tragic ending of losing his Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone).

This duology is important to include on the list given that the villains, Lizard and Electro, still end up showing in the future Spider-Man film that introduced the concept of the Multiverse.

Not to mention, you might want to know why Andrew Garfield got a special cameo in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, as well.

Considering that the two Sony Spider-Men were yet to be included under the MCU roster, the MCU’s official Spider-Man is Tom Holland as he first made his debut in Captain America: Civil War in 2016.

Though he only had a few minutes of screentime given he was backing up Iron Man in a battle against Captain America’s team, we get to see Holland’s Peter Parker in action, which includes a closer depiction of how high school Spider-Man should look and act like.

In this case, Holland’s Spider-Man likes to talk a lot, he’s still an awkward nerd, but this is the MCU version where he uses pop culture references (movies and series he’s watched) to help the team succeed.
