Spider-Man: No Way Home IMAX Trailer Reveals Full View of 'Matt Murdock' Cameo

Anyone who has seen the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer is probably convinced that Charlie Cox was in a certain scene. But we never really see his face so was it really Matt Murdock? The IMAX version of the same trailer actually reveals the full view of that scene and the truth can finally be told.

The Spider-Man 3 trailer is one of the teasers that screens during Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings theatrical run. In the IMAX version, the trailers are also viewed in the expanded ratio which allows a better look at the full picture. Luckily, it also confirms the identity of the character everyone believes to be Matt Murdock.

As it turns out, the person who slams some files down in front of Peter Parker is actually the same detective who was interrogating Tom Holland's character. Although he is wearing a jacket when we first see him, he later removes the jacket as the investigation continues.

It's a disappointing discovery but it also confirms that Cox wasn't lying when he denied being in that scene. It was previously reported that the Daredevil star was asked whether it was his forearms that appeared in the Spider-Man 3 trailer. "I can promise you those are not my forearms," Cox stated.

Although the truth has been revealed about the mysterious forearms, fans are still convinced Cox appears elsewhere in the movie itself. The Defenders actor is refusing to confirm his involvement in Spider-Man 3 so we'll have to wait until the film is released later this year.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled for release on December 17, 2021.
