Aside from the rumored returns of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, Spider-Man: No Way Home is reportedly set to feature a major cameo from Daredevil actor Charlie Cox who is rumored to serve as Peter Parker's legal counsel. After the official trailer debuted last week, fans were desperately searching for clues to back up the rumors, and shockingly enough, people claim to have spotted Cox hiding in plain sight in the teaser.

During the intense interrogation scene between Peter Parker and a New York City police officer, a mysterious prosecutor was later seen slamming a pile of documents on the desk. Interestingly, we never saw a glimpse of his face, only his forearms and unsurprisingly, this led a lot of people to speculate that the guy was actually Matt Murdock himself.

Now, over a week following Spider-Man: No Way Home's internet-breaking trailer debut, the star of Netflix's defunct Daredevil series is finally breaking his silence after allegedly being spotted in the teaser. Speaking with ComicBook, Cox reiterates that he's not part of the project and claims that the person spotted in the trailer wasn't him. He said: "I can promise you those are not my forearm."

Even if Cox himself denied his involvement in the film, it's still possible that he's just trying to play coy to avoid giving out major spoilers. I mean, it shouldn't come as a shock anymore because of the level of secrecy that comes into these MCU films. Heck, even Tom Holland who has been notorious for dishing out spoilers in the past has been keeping mum about the project so that definitely tells you something.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in cinemas on December 17, 2021.
