Although Michael Mando's Mac Gargan was teased in the post-credits clip for Spider-Man: Homecoming, to the fans' disappointment, the character didn't appear in Far From Home, which was released last summer. However, is there a possibility for Scorpio to return?

Taking to Twitter, Mando recently shared an image of himself. He didn't provide any caption but he did include a Scorpion emoji. The photo doesn't seem to be connected to the character, with the actor seen wearing a leather jacked in a desert landscape. You can check it out below.

Though Mando might just be having a little fun with the fans, there is a possibility that he's hinting at his character's return. This tweet also comes just a few days after his interview where he revealed that there is a chance for Gargan to return. "There's always a chance," he said.

Gargan was just one of the Sinister Six characters that the movie introduced. "We never really found the right moment to do something like that. It's always just about it being right for the story and not just some sort of shoehorned-in cameo," Homecoming and Far From Home director Jon Watts previously stated with regards to Scorpion's absence in the sequel. That said, he admits that he "loves" the idea of both Gargan and Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes still "out there." "And I like the idea that as we move forward with these films, we're building out this rich world that we can continually draw from," Watts added.

While there is no update with regards to a Sinister Six film, given Marvel and Sony's deal, it is possible that Gargan might end up with the said movie.

Spider-Man 3 is set for release on July 16, 2021.
