According to a recent report from TheWrap, Marvel is currently exploring their options for what's next for the characters in VisionQuest in the MCU.

The series, which is only intended as an eight-episode limited run, is being seen as a success internally at Marvel Television. There are current talks about how some of the characters could continue in the MCU moving forward.

However, details regarding the alleged plans are unknown, as the conversations are still very early at this point.

In a previous interview, showrunner Terry Matalas already teased that the series might continue beyond the eight episodes, and there are ideas that they are exploring.

"The second we wrapped, Paul [Bettany], James [Spader], and I were immediately ready to go into 10 more seasons of whatever this could be. But that's up to Marvel Studios and the television gods as to what happens," he said.

For now, let's wait and see whether Marvel will indeed develop more projects centering on the VisionQuest characters, especially now that there is clamor for fans to see more of that corner of the MCU.

What Is VisionQuest About?

VisionQuest follows Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, who is now in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron.

His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision's son reincarnated. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron's influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he's to survive.

The cast includes Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T'Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, Emily Hampshire, and James D'Arcy.

The final episode will be released on Tuesday, November 10, on Disney+.
