A lot of buzz surrounds the Marvel Cinematic Universe's third Spider-Man film and out of all the films we've seen over the last 10 years, this one is undoubtedly the most intriguing and unpredictable. Of course, a lot of the mystery stems from the fact that the project has already started production yet key details about the film are still being kept under wraps.

The general belief amongst fans is that Homecoming 3 will be the MCU's live-action version of the Spider-Verse and the idea isn't that hard to fathom considering the film is set to bring in characters and villains that previously didn't exist in the franchise. I'm talking about Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina who are both currently attached to the film.

Foxx himself has already confirmed his involvement in the film but we've yet to get actual confirmation from the studio whether Alfred Molina's Otto Octavius will indeed be making his return. Now, one of the film's lead stars Zendaya pretty much verified previous reports about Molina's casting.

During her appearance on Variety's Actors on Actors with Carey Mulligan, Zendaya had nothing but kind words to say to the Doc Ock actor. She said: "He's so nice, by the way". Check out the clip here:

Excitement is definitely increasing for the MCU's upcoming Spidey film but it's hard to get your hopes up when both Marvel and Sony have chosen to keep mum about the true nature of the project or if actors like Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will indeed show up. Maybe it's just their way of keeping everything spoiler-free or maybe there's really nothing more to the sequel aside from the film being just that... a sequel.

Homecoming 3 is slated for release in December.
