Song Kang shared his thoughts about working with Kang Min Young in the hit Netflix series, Forecasting Love and Weather.
The series, which was concluded on April 3, scored average viewership ratings of 6.7 percent and 7.7 percent nationwide and in Seoul, respectively. It tells the story of a general forecaster and special reporter who work together at Korea’s national weather forecast service, the Korea Meteorological Administration.
Following the drama’s success, Song Kang spoke up about his chemistry with his co-star, Park Min Young.

Song Kang Says He Knew He Would Have Great Chemistry With Park Min Young
The Nevertheless actor recently sat for an interview and pictorial with @star1 magazine and opened up about his on-screen romance with Park Min Young.
According to the actor, he already felt that he would have great chemistry with the actress from the very beginning.
“I learned a lot from her. In addition to my chemistry with my co-star, I spent a lot of time worrying about what kind of gestures I could make in order for my [character’s] emotions to be better conveyed to viewers,” he said.
Park Min Young plays the role of general forecaster Jin Ha Kyung in the drama, while Song Kang portrays special reporter Lee Si Woo.

JTBC’s efforts to make the K-drama more realistic also contributed to the duo’s commendable performance. For what it’s worth, the network consulted spokespersons, weathermen, and forecasters for six months to make the whole set more real-life.
Secretary Noh Sung Woon, a former staff in the spokesperson's office at the Korea Meteorological Administration for 27 years, initially questioned whether it is possible to create a series based on the Meteorological Administration.
However, things changed when he saw writer Sun Young working hard with forecasters to ensure they would get the smallest details to use on the series' script.
Song Kang Is Similar To His Forecasting Love and Weather Character
Aside from having fun with Park Min Young, Song Kang also got interested in his character, Lee Si Woo. He explained that he is similar to his character in terms of innocence.
Out of all the roles he reportedly scored, his recent project is reportedly the most similar to his personality.
“Except that unlike Si Woo, I’m not the type to boldly assert my opinions to my boss or colleagues. There were scenes in the drama where [Si Woo] didn’t worry at all about what his superiors thought, which made me think, ‘Is it okay to act like this?'” he said.
Forecasting Love and Weather ended its stint on April 3.
