Based on a popular web novel that was adapted into a webtoon, A Business Proposal tells the story of an office employee who goes on a blind date with her company’s CEO. Her best friend asked her to join the blind date in her place while hiding her identity.
Kim Sejeong stars as Shin Ha Ri, while Ahn Hyo Seop plays the role of CEO Kim Tae Moo.
Although the scenes were cut short resulting in a 12-episode drama, the two lead stars managed to make viewers giggle, especially through their bed scene.
Kim Sejeong Reacts To A Business Proposal Bed Scene
Among the scenes the K-drama presented, the episode where Kim Sejeong and Ahn Hyo Seop share an intimate part became one of the most buzzworthy. It immediately became a hot topic as it served as the two stars’ first bed scene.
Despite that, the former gugudan member assured the fans that she was not worried when she filmed that part.

She shared, “I wasn’t very worried. While there definitely must be people who were surprised to see Sejeong showing that, it was a moment that wasn’t awkward to Ha Ri and Tae Mu. If you saw Sejeong [and not Ha Ri] in that moment, I think that means my acting wasn’t good.”
Still, Kim Sejeong was reportedly too shy to watch it since she sees it as a love scene between Kim Tae Moo and Shin Ha Ri. Although they used camera tricks and editing to show the viewers as if something happened between them, the actress said she felt like she was secretly watching them.
Kim Sejeong Clarifies Comments About A Business Proposal Love Scene
Before sharing her thoughts about the love scene, the K-pop idol took to Instagram Story to clarify a statement she said in an interview about the drama.
Multiple news outlets reported that the skinship between Kim Sejeong and Ahn Hyo Seop’s characters became steamier.
Kim Sejeong shared the quote from the article and wrote, “Oh!!!!! It’s not that the scene wasn’t originally a bed scene; I think it’d be more accurate to say that the situation wasn’t described precisely in the scene. EX) ‘They kiss and embrace each other… it’s now morning.’ Because the [script] was like this.”
She then revealed that the actors and the director talked about it and adjusted the scene in order to secure the rate maturity rating.
The love scene became one of the greatest drivers that made A Business Proposal successful after its 12-episode run.
