In a discussion on the online community Pann Nate, fans said The Glory actress is often slandered whenever rumors about her dating begin. There is also negative news about her when she goes out with a guy.
On the contrary, Song Joong Ki receives praise for dating a British woman. But if a female Korean celebrity like Song Hye Kyo dates a foreign man, she will surely face a huge backlash.

Why Did Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo Divorce?
Back when they were still so much in love, fans called Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo the Song-Song couple.
Their love story began on the set of their K-drama series Descendants of the Sun. From real, they became a real-life couple and started dating when the show’s filming wrapped up.
The two tried to keep their romance private, but their agencies eventually confirmed their relationship in 2017. In the same year, they tied the knot.
However, after just a couple of years, they announced their separation, with Song Joong Ki filing for divorce from Song Hye Kyo due to “differences in personalities.”
“The reason [for the divorce] is differences in personality,” the Encounter’s star agency, United Artists Agency Jet Tone Films, said in a statement. “As the two were unable to overcome their differences, they were forced to come to this decision (the divorce).
