Song Hye Kyo thanked everyone who supported her Netflix Kdrama series, The Glory.

Kdrama fans were left hanging when The Glory part 1 ended. But upon the arrival of the series’ second and last part, the love and support from the viewers doubled due to its impressive ending.

As a result, The Glory surpassed You season 4 part 2 by scoring 124.5 million viewing hours in its first week alone.

Following the feat, the lead actress thanked fans and supporters in a new handwritten statement.

Song Hye Kyo Thanks The Glory Viewers for Support

On Monday, the actress took to her Instagram Story and shared a black and white photo of her while holding a paper with words written in Korean. She also tagged Netflix Korea in the snap.

Song Hye Kyo’s message was to thank fans for tuning in and making the series’ stint successful.

"The time I spent with 'The Glory' was an honor for me. Thank you very much for loving Moon Dong Eun and 'The Glory',” the statement read.

The Glory explored the life of a high school student who becomes a victim of school violence. After not being able to receive the help she needs from the people who should offer assistance in the first place, she works hard and starts plotting her desperate revenge.

Song Hye Kyo played the role of Moon Dong Eun, the bullied student who takes revenge against her perpetrators.

The Glory Sets Impressive Records

As of press time, the series remains the fourth most popular Korean series after Squid Game, All of Us Are Dead, and Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

The part 2’s viewing hours beat The Glory part 1’s 82.48 million hours in its second week.

Based on Netflix’s criteria on hours viewed within 28 days of release on the platform, The Glory part 2 successfully became one of the streaming giant’s most popular non-English TV shows.
