Song Hye Kyo has been single since her shocking divorce from Song Joong Ki in 2019. The Descendants of the Sun stars, who used to be South Korea's most celebrated pair, were married for 20 months prior to their split announcement.
Initially, Song Joong Ki did not provide a concrete reason as to what pushed him to file a divorce from his then-wife. Song Hye Kyo, later on, divulged that she and Joong Ki decided to divorce due to personality differences.

Song Hye Kyo Did This To Jang Ki Yong To Show Her Support?
Jang Ki Yong, on March 10, appeared on a special episode of the SBS Power FM radio show called 2 O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show, alongside ONF member Hyojin and EXO member Chanyeol. The co-star of Song Hye Kyo graced the program sporting a uniform to talk about their military musical titled Blue Helmet.
During the radio program, Jang Ki Yong also talked about his latest K-drama right up until he enlisted in the military in August 2021. The South Korean actor revealed he filmed Now We Are Breaking Up with Song Hye Kyo four days prior to his enlistment.
Jang Ki Yong shared:
“I filmed the drama up until four days before my enlistment. I watched what we’d filmed a month after I arrived at my military unit, and maybe it was because we had to film quickly because of my enlistment, but it felt a bit awkward.”
DJ Kim Tae Gyun then asked Jang Ki Yong if Song Hye Kyo had come to visit him during his military service. Surprisingly, the Now We Are Breaking Up star responded:
“Yes, she has. The entire ‘Now We Are Breaking Up’ team came to see me. It really gave me a lot of strength.”

The revelations of Jang Ki Yong came amid reports that he and Song Hye Kyo are dating. Avid followers of the two K-drama stars could not help but think that they are already together because of their undeniable chemistry both on-screen and off-screen.
Song Hye Kyo Takes On A Hero-Villain Role In The Glory
Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo is set to make her TV comeback very soon via the upcoming Netflix drama titled The Glory. Reports have it that the imminent K-drama is a sad revenge story that begins with a high school student who dreamed of becoming an architect but was forced to drop out of school due to brutal school violence.
Years later, the perpetrator ties the knot and has a kid, who becomes a student of Song Hye Kyo's character. After learning that her student is a child of the abuser, the homeroom teacher starts her thorough revenge.
Speaking about her role in The Glory, Song Hye Kyo told Harper's Bazaar:
“This drama is my first thriller drama as well as my first revenge drama. Since the production’s color and character are the opposite of what I’ve done up until this point, I’m looking forward to the new expressions and emotions that will come out while acting.”

Song Hye Kyo also expressed her gratitude to all staff and team members who tirelessly worked behind the scenes, ensuring to give viewers the best quality drama possible. She stated:
“Fortunately, writer Kim Eun Sook, who writes very strongly, and director Ahn Gil Ho, who I can trust and follow, are here, so I can really depend on them. I’m a person to whom the process is important. The results are of course really important too, but [the process] is relatively more important. Isn’t a production something I can’t do alone? The teamwork and rhythm between the director, writer, staff, and people working together are now more valuable.”

Though she has been in the industry for quite some time already, Song Hye Kyo shared she still faces difficulties and deals with anxiety she has regarding acting. The former wife of Song Joong Ki shared:
“I’ve never entered a production with the mindset of, ‘You’ve always done this, so you can do well.’ Now, I’ve been acting for a long time. Nevertheless, I’m always nervous. Not only am I getting older, but the characters are also getting older like me. The characters must have matured as they got older, and there must have been joys and sorrows in their lives up to that point. I think I have to express that well. That’s why I think acting is getting harder and harder.”
As of this writing, there is no official release date announced for Song Hye Kyo's The Glory. However, rumors have it that it would have a total of eight episodes and would be exclusively shown on Netflix.
