The new trailer for Solar Opposites Season 4 is finally here and it has a lot of explaining to do. The key purpose of the teaser is to confirm that Dan Stevens is taking over as Korvo after Justin Roiland's departure, and it pretty much explains why the alien leader has a British accent.
Solar Opposites Season 4 Trailer Explains Why Korvo Sounds Different
In the Solar Opposites Season 4 trailer, Terry has found the original dartboard from Cheers and is eager to use it. So eager that he accidentally throws a dart into Korvo's throat.
Luckily, they have a voice-fixing ray that quickly heals Korvo's neck and restores his voice. But when he starts speaking, it's with a lovely deep voice that is unmistakably Dan Stevens'.
We get to hear more of Korvo's new voice as he narrates the destruction of the planet Shlorp. For viewers who are not quite comfortable with the new voice, Dan Stevens has a message: "Tough sh-t, it's called science!"
Dan Stevens will take over after Justin Roiland was removed from Solar Opposites after the Rick and Morty co-creator was charged with felony domestic abuse. Roiland was also fired from his other projects following the charges.
Justin Roiland was charged with one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud and/or deceit by the Orange County District Attorney’s office. According to a May 2020 complaint, The incident against a Jane Doe allegedly occurred in January 2020.
Roiland pleaded not guilty to the charges in October 2020 and the semi-sealed case was kept out of the public until a hearing on January 12, 2023.
Solar Opposites Season 4 will also bring back Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone, Mary Mack and Sagan McMahan as the Solar-Opposites. The animated series will return to Hulu with eleven new episodes on August 14, 2023.
