Rick and Morty is an animated show that many adults enjoy watching simply because of its content. The animated series follows the life of a 70-year-old alcoholic scientist named Rick Sanchez and his 14-year-old grandson, Morty. The duo travels through various universes and runs into different types of trouble.

Here are some of the most common questions that people have about the show:

This seems to be one of the most common questions that viewers have about the show, especially since they tackle on different scientific experiments. Unfortunately, the creators of the show, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, have expressed in previous interviews that they don't intend to include time travel in the show.

And this is because the duo believes that the concept has been used several times in the past. In addition to this, the creators believe that adding time travel into a story can be a tricky Pandora's box.

Despite this, it's almost impossible for the show to escape the idea of time travel. That's because the show often intersects with the themes of a multiverse and an alternate reality.

But in a previous episode of Rick and Morty Season 4, Rick has explained why does not respect time travel. In Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 8 entitled The Vat of Acid, Rick explains his stance on time travel. He also says: "if Ant-Man and the Wasp can do it, I'm not interested."

There are also plenty of fan theories that further explain why Rick is so against time travel. One fan theory suggests that Rick C-137 has been hunting for the Rick version who killed Beth and Diane. And since he hasn't been found yet, there's a possibility that it was him who killed the two instead of an alternate universe Rick.

After all, Rick can definite create a time travel machine anytime he wants to. And given the success rate of his inventions, it's no surprise that this would actually work.

But at the end of the day, it all boils down to the decision of the showrunners. At the San Diego Comic-Con in 2015, Harmon explained: "Time travel is a real shark-jumper. Once you introduce it to the canon of your show - it's just a dangerous toy to pull out."

Perhaps the only time that the no time travel rule was broken was in Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 5 entitled Rattlestar Ricklactica. Time travel was included in the episode just to prove exactly why it is such a bad idea. Roiland said: "It's a cautionary tale of why you don't f** with time."

Another common question that people have is whether Rick and Morty are the same person.

Many believe that Rick and Morty are actually the same person.

This fan theory actually started in Rick and Morty Season 3. The fans believe that Morty is actually Rick when he was 14 years old.

The theory came about after fans pointed out the similarities between the two characters, especially with their personalities and speeches. But then again, this will have to go back to the first question: Can Rick and Morty time travel? And the answer is: They can but they won't.
