The Star Wars franchise has been around since 1977, when the first film, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, captivated audiences across the galaxy. Since then, the franchise has out more sequels, spin-offs, and even series of their own.

Apart from Andor and the animated series, the MandoVerse came into the picture.

The MandoVerse was created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, a term used to categorize the interconnected storytelling of the franchise's shows produced to air on Disney Plus' streamer.

The MandoVerse, as you can tell, started off with Pedro Pascal's The Mandalorian, which is hugely separated from the larger Star Wars Universe.

Now, technically, it still belongs under the franchise and the timeline also exists amongst other canon Star Wars stories, however, the MandoVerse is just an easy way of saying that the aforementioned film or series is on the same track as The Mandalorian's.

Now, the question is, is Skeleton Crew in the MandoVerse? The short answer is yes, the series does take place in the same period as The Mandalorian and Ahsoka, which is presumed to be nine years after Return of the Jedi.

Now that we've confirmed that the Skeleton Crew does belong in the MandoVerse, here's where the upcoming Star Wars series is placed on the Star Wars timeline!

As per a report from Deadline, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew takes place in the same timeline as The Mandalorian. This means that the former occurred after the fall of the Republic and during the rise and fall of the Galactic Empire.

This also confirms that Skeleton Crew arrives at the same time as The Book of Boba Fett's events unfold.

Though it remains to be seen whether we're seeing Skeleton Crew air on Disney+ in December 2023 or in early 2024, here's a sneak peek synopsis of what the series will be about:

In the first episode of the Skeleton Crew, we are introduced to four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet and get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home, meeting unlikely allies and enemies, will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.
