Will There Be a Mandalorian Season 4?

The Mandalorian Season 3 will be landing on Disney + in February next year. It's one of the most highly anticipated Star Wars show yet, and the likes of The Book of Boba Fett (2021), Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022), and Andor (2022), while each thrilling in their own right, have done little to remedy that excitement. But will there be a Mandalorian Season 4? This is the way...

What we said about the other shows doing little to keep us from tearing our hair out while we wait for the third season of The Mandalorian isn't entirely true. The Book of Boba Fett, after all, included what is essentially the first episode of the first season - or at the very least, an epic teaser.

"The Return of the Mandalorian" is an episode dedicated entirely to Din Djarin/The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) as he meets with the Armorer (Emily Swallow) to discuss the Darksaber and Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff). As you might remember, Din Djarin is now in possession of said-weapon.

As such, this means that Bo-Katan will need to fight him in order to win what she believes is rightfully hers - The Mandalorian Season 2 finale "Chapter 16: The Rescue" - explains that Din Djarin, who has won the Darksaber from Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), can't simply hand the blade over to Bo-Katan.

And to no surprise whatsoever, it looks like The Mandalorian Season 3 will definitely be following this thread, even with Grogu back in the backseat (although, technically speaking, he was never really gone). During Disney's D23 Expo, the first official trailer for the upcoming season was unveiled.

While it's hard to tell whether this season will lead into a fourth season, we do know that The Mandalorian Season 4 is already in production, as producer Jon Favreau confirmed earlier this year, while the third season was underway. Although, naturally, we know nothing about it.

This makes perfect sense, of course, as even the tiniest nugget of information would likely spoil The Mandalorian Season 3, which, besides the trailer and the cast, we also don't know all that much about. But be that as it may, we at least know what direction it's taking - and it's all about Bo-Katan and the Darksaber.
