Skeleton Crew Actor Jude Law Says Joining Star Wars Was An 'Out Of Body' Experience

There is little doubt that being a part of the Star Wars Universe is exciting for any actor. But for long-time fan Jude Law, joining Star Wars: Skeleton Crew gave him a "slightly out of body" experience.

Jude Law Says Star Wars Made Him Want To Pursue Acting

Jude Law recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly where he revealed that Star Wars was a huge part of his childhood dreams.

"Probably the reason I started acting was running around a playground pretending to be Luke or Han or Chewbacca or Vader – that literally was what I was playing and acting as a child," Law said.

He then admitted that his childhood made him comfortable when it was time to join the Star Wars Universe.

"Being in it is both kind of surreal and seems very second-nature in some ways. And then also slightly out of body," Law said.

He further explained that Star Wars was a huge influence on him as a child.

"Star Wars, for me, held a very particular place because it was as much a part of my childhood as going to school," Law said.

"Literally as far back as I remember, I remember having Star Wars in my life," he added. "It was the toys I played with, it was the toys I envied my friends had."

Law continued, "I remember one of them having an AT-AT walker and I was never going to get given an AT-AT, so I'd go over and play at his house so I could use the AT-AT walker."

It's a cool memory and we totally understand why Jude Law was so thrilled to be cast in Skeleton Crew. Needless to say, we can't wait to see him live out his dreams in the upcoming Star Wars series.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will also star Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon, and Jaleel White.

The series will consist of eight episodes and is expected to premiere on Disney+ later this year.
