It's Star Wars Day and the franchise celebrated by dropping a trailer filled with some of the iconic moments in its projects.
However, the May the 4th trailer also teased the future by sneakily inserting a brief look at Jude Law as a mysterious Jedi in the upcoming series Skeleton Crew.
The special May the 4th trailer celebrates all things Star Wars, offering glimpses at the scenes we loved in the franchise.
There are iconic moments featuring classic heroes Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, and Leia Organa but we also see Din Djarin, Bo-Katan Kryze, and Grogu.
Interestingly, there's one character here that we have yet to meet. Jude Law makes a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance as a mysterious Jedi hiding from ... something. The scene looks like a moment from the upcoming Disney+ series Skeleton Crew.
It's only a brief look but it confirms that Skeleton Crew already has some footage to share but possibly not enough for a full trailer. Nevertheless, it's a sneaky tease at the highly anticipated Star Wars show and we can't wait to see more footage soon.
Not much is known about Skeleton Crew other than it will star Jude Law and that it is set in the same timeline as The Mandalorian. The show will reportedly follow four kids who end up being lost in the galaxy after an unexpected discovery on their home planet. The children go on an adventure and presumably cross paths with Law's Jedi.
The new show is being described as an 80s-style fantasy adventure so it's possibly going to feel like Stranger Things but in space and without all the horror themes and D&D references.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is created by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford. The series will star Law, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Tunde Adebimpe, and Kerry Condon. It is set to premiere on Disney+ later this year.
