Longtime fans of the Star Wars franchise were initially heartbroken after learning that Ashley Eckstein, the original voice of Ahsoka Tano wasn't chosen to play the beloved character in live-action.
The character, who made her official live-action debut in The Mandalorian was played by Rosario Dawson and while her casting did draw backlash at first, her impressive performance in Season 2 quickly won fans over.
For years, fans have been pitting the two actors against each other but both Eckstein and Dawson have proven that there's no bad blood between them. In fact, they met on the set of the upcoming Ahsoka series.
Naturally, Eckstein's set visit sparked speculation that she'll somehow be involved in the show and now, she's finally addressing her potential cameo.

Speaking with SFF Gazette, Eckstein finally addressed all the speculation surrounding her potential involvement in the upcoming Ahsoka series. According to the Star Wars: The Clone Wars voice actress, there was nothing more to her Ahsoka set visit but she did admit that she wants to make a cameo appearance on the show in the future.
Sharing her experience of finally meeting Rosario Dawson, Eckstein said: "Oh my gosh, I was so humbled by her words. I actually texted her right away as soon as I saw the article and saw her kind words. I just thanked her. We had the chance to finally meet on the set of Ahsoka."
She then clarified that her set visit isn't for a cameo. "I was invited for a set visit. It wasn’t a cameo! I want to set the record straight. Everyone thinks I’m dropping a hint, but unfortunately, I don’t have a cameo in the first season. I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed and throwing my dreams out into the universe that maybe if there’s a season 2 or some sort of spin-off that I’ll eventually do a cameo, but I did get to visit the set."

Ahsoka is slated for release on August 23, 2023, exclusively on Disney+.
