SHINee Taemin will hold his 2023 fanmeeting to meet his fans for the first time in three years.

After a long wait, Taemin’s fans formally welcomed the idol back from the military on April 4. He enlisted on May 31, 2021, and served as a military band member before becoming a public service worker until the completion of his duty.

Talks about his new projects immediately surfaced, with his first schedule finally confirmed to the public.

2023 Taemin Fanmeeting RE:ACT Date

SHINee and Taemin’s agency SM Entertainment confirmed that the MOVE hitmaker would meet his fans for the first time in three years through his scheduled meet and greet.

According to the Wednesday announcement (per Korea JoongAng Daily), two meet-and-greets will be held this month — on April 22 and 23 at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Kyung Hee University Peace Palace.

Fans who want to attend the event can acquire tickets starting next week. Fan club members will have early access on April 13, while general sales on April 17.

Taemin’s 2023 fanmeeting will be live-streamed on the Beyond LIVE streaming service.

It will mark Taemin’s first time to meet fans since ending his military service. He posted a handwritten letter to fans on Tuesday, expressing his gratitude and love for fans.

"It gave me a valuable opportunity to look back on myself and realize how happy I had been," Taemin said. "I missed you so much that words can't even describe it, and I think you would have felt the same. Funny enough, these thoughts are what kept me strong and also what have helped me grow."

Will Taemin Release a New Album?

While Taemin’s fanmeeting has already been confirmed, SM Entertainment is yet to comment on the rumors that he will have a solo comeback soon.

Pop Base cited an unnamed source on Monday who said that the idol would start preparing new music and release his comeback album this year.

Although it is still unverified, The Korea Herald reported that SHINee would return as a group soon, as what the members have said in the past months. Minho, Onew, and Key revealed that the group started recording for the new album to mark the group’s 15th anniversary.
