Even with the delays of the production company, Doga Kobo, due to COVID-19, Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie still managed to make its way into the Spring anime season with ease and excitement for the adaptation of the romantic comedy manga of Keigo Maki.
A great news for everyone watching the show is that Crunchyroll just unveiled that the show will have an English dub announcing its release date and voice cast.
Crunchyroll proudly announced that the romantic comedy anime Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie will be having an English dubbed version with the cast and the release date. This coming Saturday, April 23, 2022, the anime series will debut its English dubbed version spearheaded by Marcy Anne Johnson as Shikimori and Bryson Baugus as Izumi.
Other voice cast members are Cliffor Chapin as Inuzuka, Michelle Rojas as Nekozaki, Molly Zhang as Hachimitsu, Lydia Mackay as Motoko, and Mark Stoddard as Akisada. Additional voice cast includes Alex Mai, Ben Balmaceda, Aaron Campbell, Kelsey Maher, Jon Aponte, Kalyn McCabe, Paul Cline, Linda Young, Madeleine, Broseh, Kevin D. Thelwell, Mark Allen Jr., and Marisa Duran.
Emily Fajardo spearheaded the direction of the English dub. Mark Allen Jr. and Tia Ballard are Fajardo’s assistants and they worked with Jamal Robertson as the ADR engineer and his assistant Bob Romans. Clayton Browning penned the English dub script under the supervision of Tyler Walker. ADR prep are under Brandon Peters.

Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie revolves around a high school pair who is the typical couple displaying affection all around and high school sweethearts Izumi Yuu and Micchon Shikimori, seemed to be different from the others as Shikimori always saves Izumi from dire situations. It’s not everyday you’ll see the cool girl dating the hapless guy, right?
