The romantic comedy manga of Keigo Maki, Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie, is about to premiere in a few days but many were worried whether it will arrive on the release date following the news that their production company, Doga Kobo, will be temporarily closed due to their staff contracting COVID-19. However, the show eases the fans stating that the debut of the show will still push through.

Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie Premiere Will Still Push Through Despite Production Company Doga Kobo Temporarily Closing

In a statement released on the official website of Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie, the anime’s production company, Doga Kobo, will be temporarily closed due to a rapid increase of staff members contracting COVID-19. Doga Kobo will be closed from April 6 until April 17 to give their staff ample time to recover and to protect those who haven’t had the virus.

The staff of the show continues to discuss on how the series will broadcast for the future episodes but the premiere episode will still push through on the date it will make its debut, on April 9 on Asahi Broadcasting, TV Asahi, and other affiliated networks. Previously, Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie’s premiere has been delayed a week because of organizational issues.

Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie revolves around a high school pair who is the typical couple displaying affection all around and high school sweethearts Izumi Yuu and Micchon Shikimori, seemed to be different from the others as Shikimori always saves Izumi from dire situations. It’s not everyday you’ll see the cool girl dating the hapless guy, right?

Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie will be released in Japan on April 10 in Japan, and given the difference in the time zones, it will be in the US and other countries on April 9, 2022.
