Zachary Levi's live-action take on DC's Big Red Cheese in 2019's Shazam! was lauded by a lot of fans but despite his awesome portrayal of the character, it's no secret that a lot of people raised their eyebrows at his distracting costume which relied heavily on muscle padding to make Levi look bigger than he actually is. Thankfully, the costume department behind the upcoming sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods listened to the fans' feedback and they're making major changes to Billy Batson's superhero suit.

Production for Fury of the Gods is already underway and unsurprisingly, several photos have leaked online featuring Levi's new and improved suit. I gotta say, I love the fact that it doesn't look as cosplay-ish and despite the obvious muscle padding the costume still utilizes, it looks much more natural this time around and less goofy.

After the photos went viral, fans couldn't help but share their excitement over Shazam's new super-suit. Safe to say that the majority of DCEU fans are pleased with how it all turned out. Check out the reactions below:

As far as comic accuracy is concerned, the original Shazam suit beats the new one by a landslide but you can't deny that the upgraded version of Billy's costume fits better in the DCEU. I'm digging how Zachary looks much more formidable as Shazam now and if we're being honest, he'll need all the credibility in the world when he finally goes one-on-one with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Black Adam. The suit upgrade was necessary.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods' official release date has yet to be confirmed.
