It has long been rumored that Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings will feature the appearance of Fin Fang Foom. While Marvel Studios has yet to confirm this, a new rumor suggests that the movie will use concepts introduced in Doctor Strange to keep this dragon-like character at bay.

According to MCU Cosmic, Doctor Strange's concept of having three Sanctums to keep the Earth safe will be similar to that of reportedly having a "magical trinity" in the Shang-Chi movie. This trio of wizards is reportedly tasked to keep Fin Fang Foom dormant so as not to wreak havoc.

The first Doctor Strange movie revealed that there are sorcerers around the world, with Mordo claiming that there are "too many," making it his sole purpose to cleanse the world of these rogue wizards.

Though the rumor doesn't dive deeper into how Fin Fang Foom would factor in the film, MCU Cosmic speculates that Mordo could have something to do with its release. He could eventually face the "magical trinity" and unknowingly unleash Fin Fang Foom in the process, should Mordo defeat those who keep him dormant.

While that's only speculation, the outlet did mention how Shang-Chi will reportedly cross paths with the Mandarin and build their relationship, claiming that the pair will begin as friends, with the latter serving as a mentor to our hero.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has resumed production in Australia and is currently set for release on May 7, 2021.
