Marvel's Avengers is coming out next week on September 4 and fans are mildly excited for it. The beta divided many since some fans got a smooth experience while others got a buggy mess so we're interested in seeing how the finished product fares. However, before the game comes out, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics announced there will be a War Table stream on September 1 that will detail the game's first post-launch story and reveal a new post-launch hero.
Fans are obviously curious about all of the free stories and heroes that will be coming to the game, though the press release (via Gematsu) says it will be more than just those tidbits. We will get some details on the game's worrisome progression system and its 50-plus enemy types, along with the "high-level content." Not sure what that means but this could be their way of mooching off money from fans.
It's hard to guess what the first post-launch story will be about and if it will be different from the campaigns each post-launch hero is getting. Hawkeye and Spider-Man will have their own stories for players to go through but the implication given seems to indicate that this will be a campaign for the story-based Avengers. Granted, the developers claim all of the Avengers will be important but we'll wait and see.
The third Marvel's Avengers War Table stream will take place on September 1. Marvel's Avengers will be coming out on September 4 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. PS4 and Xbox One owners will get a free PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrade respectively. Spider-Man is coming next year and will be exclusive to PS4 and PS5 owners.
