Shadow and Bone Season 2 is coming next month and Netflix has just dropped an action-packed new trailer. The teaser confirms that General Kirigan aka The Darkling is back and he's facing off against Alina Starkov in a fight of epic proportions.
The Shadow and Bone Season 2 trailer opens with Alina looking around a peaceful town but things quickly get dark as the Shadow Fold swiftly surrounds them. As Alina stands her ground, she soon faces the Darkling who is accompanied by the Volcra.
It's clear that Kirigan is back and he is out for blood. As Kaz puts it, he has amassed "an unkillable army made of shadow." Needless to say, Alina is more determined than ever to destroy the Darkling.
But how are they supposed to defeat Kirigan and his army? Alina determines that she will need more amplifiers and realizes she must seek out more mythical creatures. With the help of Mal Oretsev and the Crows, she goes on a journey that spans the entire continent in an effort to defeat evil for good.
The Shadow and Bone Season 2 trailer concludes with Alina and Kirigan finally facing off and the fight appears to be of epic proportions.
It's not exactly the reunion that Darklina fans were hoping for but it's great to see Alina and the Darkling together again. With that in mind, we can't wait to see what happens in Shadow and Bone Season 2.
