Seohyun talked about one of her first projects after renewing her contract with Namoo Actors.
Following her win at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards for her role in Netflix’s original film, Love and Leashes, Seohyun scored more roles in new movies and series.
So far, the Girls’ Generation member has been tapped to be part of Holy Night: Demon Hunters, Netflix’s Song of the Bandits, and Jinx’s Lover – with the latter as the most exciting project so far.
Jinx’s Lovers, an upcoming K-drama with the official English title Jinxed at First, is a 2022 fantasy romance drama about a poor, unlucky man who meets the goddess of fortune.
Seohyun Compares Herself With Jinx’s Lover Character
Seohyun plays Seul Bi’s role, a character who has a special ability to see the future of a person she touches. Meanwhile, Na In Woo scored Gong Soo Kwang’s role, a Seodong Market fish seller who has a special jinx.
According to the Lion Heart hitmaker, her character was forced to become isolated from the world because of her ability. Despite her tragic fate, she never lost her innocence and courage to do anything against her fate.

After meeting the character through the drama, Seohyun said she felt grateful to meet her as she enjoyed playing the role.
“Whenever I work on a project, I try to maximize my inner self that is most similar to the character’s tendency. Seul Bi and I both see the world in a positive way, and we’re also very curious and try to take challenges,” she said.
Seohyun Says She Was Easily Drawn to Jinx’s Lovers
Meanwhile, Seohyun has been one of the most in-demand idols-actresses of her generation. Although she received several offers, she reportedly became more drawn to Jinx’s Lover.
She explained that the two characters’ way of going against the fate, they have touched her heart. She also spoke freely about feeling attracted to it as the fantasy story tells a human and romantic love.
Jinx’s Lover has since released its official posters ahead of its June 15 premiere. See the official trailer here.
